I'm in Guatemala City this weekend visiting my niece and nephew. While everyone was napping, I took a stroll around the neighborhood to see a little more of the city. It's definitely a much nicer area than where we stayed this past summer (this is what I refer to as the Green Zone). Every street vendor I saw chased me down, as I apparently stood out among the crowd. However, I decided it was best to head back to the hotel after a girl tried to run me down while I crossed the street.

Guatemala City is not known for the architecture, and some of these examples are evident.
